Perfectly Roasted Broccoli

  • 12 ounces broccoli florets
  • extra-virgin olive oil for drizzling
  • sea salt
  • freshly ground black pepper
  • red pepper flakes Optional

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Place the broccoli florets on the baking sheet. Toss with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and spread evenly on the baking sheet.
  • Roast in the oven for 15 to 22 minutes, or until the broccoli is browned around the edges and tender.
  • Sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

Make sure the broccoli florets are spread out in a single layer on the baking sheet for even roasting. For extra crispy edges, avoid overcrowding the baking sheet.
